Community Guidelines
Last updated: March, 2026
Welcome to the Lifeclopedia community! Our comment sections and social spaces are designed for nature enthusiasts to share knowledge, ask questions, and celebrate biodiversity. To keep our community a welcoming and educational environment, we ask all members to follow these guidelines.
1. Be Respectful and Kind
We come from all walks of life and levels of expertise. Treat every member with respect. Harassment, bullying, or personal attacks will not be tolerated. Debate the science or the topic, not the person.
2. No Hate Speech or Discrimination
Lifeclopedia is a global resource. We have a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech, racism, sexism, or any form of discrimination based on identity, nationality, or belief.
3. Stay on Topic
Our discussions are focused on land, air, and water animals, plants, and fungi. Please keep comments relevant to the article or the natural world. Spam, commercial promotion, or irrelevant links will be removed immediately.
4. Scientific Integrity & Misinformation
While we encourage curiosity and questioning, please do not spread scientific misinformation. When discussing species or environmental issues, try to base your contributions on facts or personal observations. If you are sharing a theory, please state it as such.
5. Ethical Nature Interaction
We advocate for the protection of life. Do not post content that:
- Encourages the harassment or harming of wildlife.
- Promotes the illegal trade of exotic plants or animals.
- Reveals specific locations of endangered species (to prevent poaching or over-tourism).
- Shows the destruction of fragile ecosystems for "the sake of a photo."
6. Respect Copyright
Only share images or text that you have the right to share. If you are referencing someone else’s work or discovery, please give proper credit.
7. Moderation
Lifeclopedia reserves the right to hide, delete, or report comments that violate these guidelines. Users who repeatedly ignore these rules may be banned from participating in our community spaces.
8. Report a Concern
If you see a comment or post that violates these guidelines, please let us know so we can keep Lifeclopedia a safe space for everyone.
